Cheryl is the wife of Bryan, the senior pastor of Calvary Chapel San Diego.
She was born into a pastor’s family, rich with a Christian heritage. Growing up in the church, she publically proclaimed Christ at a very early age. At around the age of 8 she made a specific decision to be a “Christian”, because she wanted to, and not because she was suppose to. There are some amazing stories of how she saw the faithfulness of God acted out in her everyday life.
She met her husband at a Christian college, and married a year after her graduation. Her and Bryan will celebrate 30 years of marriage this coming summer. God has been faithful to see them through almost 28 years of ministry together. She has directed Women’s Ministry all of those 28 years, desiring that the women of the church learn to go to the Word everyday, and be strengthened and matured for His good work.
They have four adult children, one daughter and three sons -Renee, Nathan, Charles, and Tracy. The two oldest are married, and the third getting married this coming summer – son-in-law, Justin; daughter-in-law, Elisa; and daughter-in-law-to-be, Erin.
Cheryl enjoys exercising, hosting visiting missionaries and pastors and their families in their home, and loves to be creative by cooking, decorating, and doing any kind of crafts.
